Teen Dental Care

The Australian Government has introduced the Medicare Teen Dental Plan to help cover the cost of an annual preventative dental check for eligible teenagers aged 12 to 17.

If you are eligible, you will receive a voucher in the mail and this can be used to cover the fees for an oral examination, x-rays if required, scaling and polishing teeth, and some other preventative services such as a fluoride treatment.

We will usually accept your voucher as full payment for these services and you do not have to do anything more. Additional services such as fillings,extractions,mouth-guards etc will be billed separately and can be claimed from your private health insurance if you are covered.
